The quotation response went a lot better today. Perhaps the students heeded my threat and they finally chose to be quiet for that portion of the class. Students continued working on their Native American myths. Unfortunately, they really started to waste the time, so I went around the room to inform them that these presentations would be graded tougher than their quotation response oral readings on Friday and they need to put some effort into planning them. The results were not too promising, but we’ll see how the presentations go.
CE9 – more time with Mr. Gross. Students are continuing to make the same errors, such as spelling, missing tags, etc. Whenever I help a student, I am trying to coach them into their own troubleshooting, but it is very difficult for some students.
