Friday is typically ThinkBook day in CE9, and today’s was Biography of Another. This was a lot of fun. We counted off the kids to see who they would be paired with. The counting off technique worked well in the sense that students were paired with someone they might not know that well, and if they were with a friend, it would have been easier or more boring to write a biography about that person. They interviewed each other, and then were asked to write the story in a creative, organized way.

I had a wonderful moment with one of my students in 3rd hour who didn’t have a partner. We interviewed each other, and then I ended up writing my story about her. It turned out nice. I think I will give it to her as a keepsake. The one that she wrote about me was excellent! She did a great job of organizing it and it had a lot of creative detail. It was truly an amazing bonding experience, with all the feel good vibes a teacher should get everyday in moments like those.
